1. Scope of Agreement
“Products” (including products and services) purchased from Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd shall only be used for research purposes. The resale of the Product, or any unmodified derivatives and parts thereof, in any form, including repackaged into a different vector, is strictly prohibited, except with prior agreement.
Customer shall only have a non-transferable right to use the Products. This limited license does not transfer ownership or title to the Product, or to any part thereof, to the customer.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd does not grant the customer any license, express or implied, in violation of or infringing upon any third party rights. The customer is responsible for determining the existence of any such third party rights, and to acquire any such rights, should they exist, before using the Product.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has no claim of any kind to any research, data, facts, information, experimental results, and/or any other embodiments generated by customer using the Products, with exception to activities covered by an issued patent assigned, licensed, or controlled by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.
2. Use of the Website
By accessing the website, you warrant and represent to Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd that you are legally entitled to do so and to make use of information made available via the website.
Please read these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) carefully. By using this website (biobasic-asia.com), you agree to these T&Cs, and you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data as described in these T&Cs. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd reserves the rights to change and update these T&Cs on the website, or via email to notify the changes. It is the responsibility of the user to keep themselves updated of any new T&Cs. If any new T&Cs are unacceptable to you, you must stop the usage of this website immediately.
To use the sequencing services through the Bio Basic Asia Pacific Customer Portal (https://customerportal.biobasic-asia.com/), you must first establish an account. Registration for an account provides a unique identification for each customer, and allows us to trace any order in the event of queries. You must provide a valid email address to register for an account, followed by setting a password for this account.
Registration must only be done by an individuals who can form legally binding contracts under Singapore law; who are at least 18 years of age; and are not barred from using the customer portal under any applicable laws. By using the customer portal, you declared that you are of age and you agree to be bound by these T&Cs. If you are under 18 years old, you have to obtain a verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for:
i) maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account and password
ii) restricting access to your account
iii) be responsible for any purchases and activities that are submitted using your account
iv) ensuring that all details provided during registration or any other time are correct and complete
In the event of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your account or password, you agree to contact us at sg-sequencing@biobasic-asia.com immediately.
We reserve the right to reject, suspend or terminate the registration of any individual or corporate member and/or the use of the customer portal at any time for any reason, including and not limited to the following:
i) any breach of these T&Cs; and/or
ii) unauthorised use of the customer’s account; and/or
iii) a customer using multiple accounts to deliver to the same address
You acknowledge and agree that Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd may, access, preserve, and/or disclose your account information, all communications and information relating to your usage of the customer portal in the event:
i) required by law or legal process
ii) if Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd determines, in its sole discretion, that such action is necessary to protect the rights of Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, third parties, and other users of the customer portal
iii) for purposes of responding to your request for customer service
You also agree that you must not use this website for the following purposes:
i) disseminate any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material
ii) transmit material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence or results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any relevant laws, regulations or code of practice

It is the responsibility of the customer to review the order details. Upon placing the order, you agreed to all amounts, delivery, fees involved and other additional charges (if any). No amendment to an order is allowed once the order is processed except for a change in delivery address and/or contact details.

Every product offered by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is intended for research purposes only by qualified professionals, the burden for safe use in handling of our chemicals rests entirely with the customer. The customer must determine suitability of a product for a particular use. We cannot assume responsibility for the completeness or accuracy of any information supplied by us in regard to the hazards or recommended use of these chemicals
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd products are warranted to meet the stated product specifications and to conform to the description on the label. In the event of a non-conformance with this warrant, Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd will indemnify the customer against loss by them in an amount not to exceed the price paid for the goods. Recommended storage conditions must be observed
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd warrants that the products will meet specifications listed. At Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd’s discretion, free replacement of any non-conforming product will be made if Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is notified within 30 days of product receipt. No other warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, are provided by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd assumes no liability and shall not be responsible for any claims, losses, costs, damages, fees, or expenses arising out of, or in connection with the Product, including claims based on infringement or misappropriation, and including but not limited to, any actual or alleged injury, damage, death, or other consequence occurring to any legal or natural person or property, as a result, directly or indirectly, of the possession, use or consumption of any Product or the use of this website, under any cause of action, regardless of the form in which any such claim is made
The limited warranty offered by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is extended only to the customer who originally purchased the product directly from Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd’s warranty does not extend to any subsequent owner or other transferees of the product, and this warranty cannot be offered by any unauthorized reseller of the product.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd’s limited warranty for our product and this website does not cover any damage due to: (a) transportation; (b) storage; (c) improper use; (d) failure to follow the product instructions, or to perform any preventive maintenance; (e) modifications; (f) unauthorized repair; (g) normal wear and tear; or (h) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control. 11. Pricing and Product Information
Our prices are current at the time of release of the catalogue. Due to changes beyond our control, including unexpected fluctuation of the cost of raw materials, we reserve the right to change prices without prior notice. Sales taxes, if applicable, are extra to the listed prices. All prices for products and services are FOB Shipping Point. All international orders are charged in Singapore dollars (SGD). All pricing displayed on the Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd website are for customers in Singapore only. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd shall not be liable to any loss, damage or inconvenience caused if we are unable to fulfil the orders.

12. Shipping and Delivery Charges
Please note that Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd cannot and will not ship products to residential addresses, or non-research organizations – any orders to any person at any residential address may subject to a rejection of refunds. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. also reserves the right to reject any order that contains hazardous materials to non-academic labs based on government regulations, as well as Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd internal safety policies. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd products are for laboratory research use only. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd only works with legally registered companies and institutions. Please include your affiliated institution/corporation name and commercial address for your order in your account. If you cannot provide us your legally registered shipping and/or billing information we will cancel your order and may not issue a refund.
Products are packaged in commonly used laboratory sizes which are ready to ship. If bulk quantities and alternate sizes are required which is not offered on this website, please inquire. The best shipping methods, based on analysis by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, are selected for each order. The majority of orders are shipped via FedEx. In the case of products, shipments are typically made within 24-48 hours upon order confirmation. However, this is subjected to availability of our resources and all delivery times stated or agreed are for indicative estimates only, Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd reserves the right to cancel or reject any delivery request. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd shall not be bound or liable for any inconvenience or loss caused from the delayed deliveries. Shipments may vary with stock availability. Additional shipping costs may occur for shipments that require special handling such as cold shipments or hazardous chemicals. For shipment within Singapore, delivery charge is waived for orders value above $200 SGD. Otherwise, a delivery fee will be incurred depending on the order, which may change anytime to reflect current courier (FedEx) rates.

13. Damaged Shipments and/or Missing Items
Please inspect your shipment upon receipt. If it shows any external damage, accept it only after the driver has noted the damage on both his and your copies of the delivery receipt, and you have requested an inspection by the delivery personnel. Failure to do so may relinquish your right to make a claim.
If you find any damage (internal) upon opening a shipment, please report the damage to both Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and the courier service within 24 hours of delivery, or you may relinquish your right to make a claim.
If you find that items are missing from your shipment, please report this to both Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and the courier service within 24 hours of delivery or you may relinquish your right to make a claim. Either we may have forgotten to include the additional items in your shipment, or the courier has misplaced/forgotten some items for your shipment. It is also possible that the item you requested to be shipped is still on “backorder” and would be shipped separately at a later date.
14. Refund, Returns and Exchanges
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd will arrange for a refund to payment made for the affected product(s) in the event any order (in part or in whole) is rejected by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd for any reasons.
All returns and exchanges must be authorized by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and is on a case-by-case basis.
All refund and cancellation requests may be subjected to up to 10% bank processing fee plus admin fee.
Standard products may be subject to a 25% restocking charge.
Other products such as specialized products and made-to-order custom products may be subject to an order cancellation charge of up to 30% of your product purchase price. Products created by using our services are not eligible for returns or exchanges
To be approved for a return or exchange, all packages of individual products should be unopened and therefore must be in an unused condition. We reserve the right to inspect them before issuing credit. Product(s) must be returned within 30 days upon your receipt (please inquire about specialized products, made-to-order custom products, etc. as described above). Return shipments of hazardous material must be packed and labelled.
Please Note: Return shipping costs to send product back to Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is the responsibility of the customer unless an error was made by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. If items are damaged in transit, no refund will be issued and all damage claims must be taken up with the freight carrier.
15. Discounts and Promotions
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd may offer discounts or promotions time to time. Discounts (including promotions) showcased on this website are available in Singapore only. Distributors are excluded from discounts, unless stated otherwise. Specific discount terms are stated in their respective discount web-pages only for the specified period and on a “while stocks last” basis. Discount errors may occur on the website. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd will attend to these errors with the best of their ability. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd cannot be held liable for these errors as errors are typically of a random occurrence. Terms of promotions are subject to change without notice.
Free gift(s) (if any) are offered on a “while stocks last” basis. No cash or credit will be offered in lieu of any gift.
Discounts and promotions may affect the minimum amount to qualify for free delivery. In such situations, normal delivery fees will apply.
In the event of a refund for promotional or discounted product/service, you will only be refunded the amount you paid for the specific product(s). If the promotion or discount is for the entire order, Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd will refund the selling price of the specific product(s) less the promotion or discount applied to the refunded product(s) on a pro-rata basis. Any free gifts related to the refunded product(s) must also be returned. If the total order value fell below the amount for free delivery due to the refund, Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd may charge the delivery fee and/or the full value of the order without the promotion.
16. Use and Sales of Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd Products and Services
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd laboratory products and services are solely intended for Laboratory Research purposes. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd laboratory products and services are not intended for any other use(s), including, but not limited to: in vitro diagnostics, foods, drugs, medical devices, cosmetics, commercial purposes, any general consumptive purpose, and animal and/or human use. It is understood by the customer that under no circumstances should any of Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd’s products, including their components, be used in an inappropriate manner. No products are to be used for recreational purposes or human consumption. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd product orders cannot and will not be placed for individuals (i.e. no personal orders allowed).
Orders will only be approved for corporations, organizations or institutions that are involved in Laboratory Research. By agreeing to the aforementioned and subsequent acknowledgment of remainder of said disclaimer, you are affirming that you are, the equivalent or of greater academic certification, a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Technician. Criminal charges can and may be pursued by the authorities against those who fraudulently purchase goods for any reason aside from agreed-upon condition.
Customer acknowledges that the products have not been tested by supplier for safety and efficiency in food, drug and medical device cosmetic commercial or any other use. Customer represents and warrants to supplier that Customer will properly test and use any products purchased from supplier and for materials produced with products purchased from supplier in accordance with the practices of any person who is not an expert in any appropriate scientific field of study and in strict compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations now and hereafter enacted.
In compliance with Singapore’s Laws and regulations, Customer agrees to comply with instructions by supplier relating to the use of the products and not violate the expressed prohibitive use of said products in any manner.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd will not produce or sell chemicals which are scheduled or controlled in Singapore.
Customer understands that certain products may not be on the Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA) inventory. The customer assumes responsibility to ensure the products purchased from the supplier are approved for use under EPMA, if applicable. The customer has the responsibility to verify the hazards and to conduct any further research necessary to learn the hazards involved in using products purchased from the supplier. The customer has the responsibility for fully researching and complying with the Singapore’s laws and regulations.
In no event shall Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd or any of its affiliates be liable for special incidental or consequential damages whether purchase claim in contract, negligence, strict liability or otherwise. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd absorbs no liability in the form of compensatory or damages. By continuing, it means of accepting subsequent and aforementioned conditions, you resign individual right to litigation against Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.
Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd harmless from all claims, expenses, losses and liability of any nature whatsoever arising out of customer’s handling and/or use of any products or services sold by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd harmless for its present and future suppliers, agents, owners, shareholders and employees, as the case may be, for and against any and all losses, damages and expenses, including legal fees and other costs of defending any action that Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd may sustain or which may occur as a result of any claim of negligence of contract or other claims or theories of law by himself, his officers, agents, or employees, his customers or other persons, whether direct or indirect in connection with the unsafe, improper or illegal use, or an unintended use of any chemical or product or services provided. In addition, the customer will adopt and use all necessary safety precautions and will abide by all local, state/province and government regulations in accordance with the use of any products or services provided by Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, located at 2 International Business Park Road Strategy #01-04, Singapore 609930, is not permitted to store, transport, and/or sell any hazardous material including all classes of Physical hazards group as well as Health hazards group, within the Singapore. Orders with such items will result in a cancellation and/or refund.
17. Free Samples
Free samples are available for selected products. Please inquire at sg@biobasic-asia.com. Depending on the location of shipment, free samples may or may not be given free shipping.
18. Cancellations
If an order is cancelled before it is shipped, it may be subject to up to 10% bank processing fee. This processing fee is the direct charge from the credit card bureau to Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.
If an order is cancelled after the order is shipped, please refer to “14. Refund, Returns and Exchanges”.
If order is cancelled because the shipping address is a residential address, a refund request may be rejected. Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is unable to provide products and/or services for personal or individual use and/or ship to residential addresses. Shipping policy is listed upon checkout.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. will not proceed with any laboratory reagents orders to any company that have residential address in Singapore. The order and/or shipping address must be from a university, a hospital, an academic institute, an approved biotechnology organisation from Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd screening procedure with a valid commercial business address, a pharmaceutical company. All others orders are rejected.
Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. also reserves the right to reject any order that contains hazardous materials to even biotechnology organisation with valid registration based on government regulations, as well as Bio Basic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd internal safety policies.
19. Quotes
Quotes are for informational purposes (Price and Delivery Estimates) only, and should not be considered as legally Binding Contracts.
