Trypsin-EDTA solution, with Phenol Red is used to detach adherent cells from tissue culture dish and to dissociate cells from one another, EDTA which is a chelating agent enhances Trypsin’s action. Phenol Red is a pH indicator which helps to monitor the pH change in the cell culture. This reagent makes up of 0.25% Trypsin, 0.02% EDTA and 0.02% Phenol Red in 0.01M Phosphate buffer saline. |
