Description:

Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) Transfer Membrane is commonly used for immunoblotting techniques such as Western blots. These membranes are hydrophobic and have high binding affinity for proteins and nucleic acids. The 0.45μm pore size is commonly used when dealing with bigger proteins and ensuuring efficient transfer.

Compared to Nitrocellulose (NC) Membrane, PVDF Membrane has a better mechanical strength making it suitable for stripping or probing for further downstream applications. This PVDF membrane is suitable for assays using chemiluminescence (e.g., BeyoECL Star, BeyoECL Plus, ECL, etc.), conventional color development (e.g., DAB, TMB), staining and isotope methods.
