Nitrocellulose (NC) Transfer Membrane is the most used for the transfer of both proteins and nucleic acids. NC Membrane has a high protein affinity and therefore has a high retention rate. It also generally gives off less background noise as compared to PVDF Membrane. The 0.45μm pore size is commonly used when dealing with bigger proteins and ensuring efficient transfer. |
