Nitrocellulose (NC) Transfer Membrane is the most used for the transfer of both proteins and nucleic acids. NC Membrane has a high affinity for protein and therefore has a high retention rate. It also generally gives off less background noise as compared to PVDF Membrane. The 0.22μm pore size is suitable for experiments where smaller molecules like bacteria, viruses and proteins need to be filtered out. |
