| Description: | L-Aspartic acid is the L-form of aspartic acid, which is a non-essential amino acid naturally produced in mammals. It can be industrially manufactured by enzymatic processes using the aspartase enzyme. L-Aspartic acid is a metabolite in the citric acid and urea cycles and is an important component in the synthesis of other amino acids and some nucleotides. It can be used as a supplement in Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM) and also to screen chemotaxis ligands. |
