The Human IL-15 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human Interleukin-15 (IL-15). IL-15 is a cytokine with the ability to stimulate the proliferation activity of Th1 and/or Th2 lymphocytes. It is a novel cytokine whose effects on T-cell activation and proliferation are similar to those of interleukin-2 (IL-2), presumably due to its utilization of the beta and gamma chains of the IL-2 receptor. This assay employs a biotinylated antibody specific for Human IL-15 coated on a 96-well plate and uses a colorimetric detection method with HRP-conjugated streptavidin, measured at 450 nm. |
