The Human IL-13 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human Interleukin-13 (IL-13). IL-13 is a major inducer of fibrosis in many chronic infectious and autoimmune diseases. It may be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses. Recombinant IL-13 protein inhibits inflammatory cytokine production induced by lipopolysaccharide in human peripheral blood monocytes. This assay employs a biotinylated antibody specific for Human IL-13 coated on a 96-well plate and uses a colorimetric detection method with HRP-conjugated streptavidin, measured at 450 nm. |
