Human IFN alpha 1 ELISA Kit

The Human IFN alpha 1 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human IFN alpha 1. Interferon alpha 1 (IFN alpha 1), is amongst one of the three naturally occurring interferons: α, β and γ. Interferons appear both locally and systematically early after viral infection and participate in limiting the spread of infection; they also affect cell differentiation, growth, surface antigen expression and immunoregulation. IFN-α is derived from lymphoblastic tissue and has a number of therapeutic applications in the treatment of various human cancers and diseases of viral origin.

This assay employs a biotinylated antibody specific for Human IFN alpha 1 coated on a 96-well plate and uses a colorimetric detection method with HRP-conjugated streptavidin, measured at 450 nm.
