| Description: | Glycine, also known as Amino Acetate, is the smallest (and the only achiral) of the 20 amino acids commonly found in proteins. It has a role as a nutraceutical, a hepatoprotective agent, a glycine hydroxymethyltransferase inhibitor, a N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor agonist, a micronutrient, a fundamental metabolite and a neurotransmitter.
