| Description: |
The BrdU Cell Proliferation Assay Kit is a sensitive immunoassay for the direct detection of proliferating cells. 5-Bromo-2-deoxyuridine (BrdU), a thymidine analog, is incorporated into newly synthesized DNA during cell proliferation. Incorporated BrdU is detected using a rabbit anti-BrdU antibody, followed by an HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG and color development with TMB. The resulting signal is proportional to the amount of BrdU incorporation and serves as a direct measure of DNA synthesis. Unlike metabolic-based assays, this kit specifically detects actively proliferating cells rather than total seeded cells, making it ideal for precise cell proliferation analysis. |
