4mL Centrifugal Filter Unit (MWCO: 5000Da)

The 4mL centrifugal filter units provide rapid and efficient concentration and purification of up to 4.0mL of biological samples per run. The unique vertical design and maximum filtration area provide fast sample processing and high sample recovery rate (typically >90% of starting solution), while maintaining a gentle environment to preserve protein activity and conformation. The unique vertical design prevents solute polarization and fouling of the membrane. It also has a protective locking design in the filter to prevent dying of the membrane which may lead to potential sample loss. The wide selection of ultra filtration molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) devices incorporate a PES membrane, which is very low in protein and nucleic acid binding.

To maximize recovery, select membrane with MWCO at least half of the molecular weight of the solute to be retained.
