Nitrocellulose (NC) Transfer Membrane are the most commonly usually for the transfer of both proteins and nucleic acids. NC Membrane has a high affinity for protein, therefore has a high retention rate. It also generally gives off lesser background noise as compared to PVDF Membrane. The 0.22μm pore size is suitable for experiments where smaller molecules like bacteria, virus , proteins needs to be filtered out. |
